Miguel Ángel Escotet is a university professor and researcher specialized in Social and Psychological Research, University Policy, Planning and Program Evaluation, Comparative and International Development Education, Philosophy of Education and Cross-Cultural Psychology. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska and his M.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. Previously he studied Engineering, Philosophy and Clinical Psychology in Spain, Colombia and Venezuela, and his professional life has mostly been spent in Spain, Venezuela, France, Argentina and the United States. He holds the Emeritus UNESCO Chair on History and Future of the University and he is Professor Emeritus granted by the University of Texas System and former Dean of the College of Education of the University of Texas – UTRGV. Dr. Escotet is currently Rector of Universidad Intercontinental de la Empresa and President of Afundación, the CSR institution of Abanca in Spain.
